On an autumnal feeling Saturday of October, the team (Michael, Janis and Ali) met up with Liisa, Ellis, Marion, Aaron and Konsta for a rainy hike in Glencoe, venturing up the Hidden Valley to enjoy the ridge line views on offer. Although the weather didn’t play ball, it was really nice meeting new people and walking amongst some beautiful scenery and enjoying the fresh air!

Some of the crew even headed into the cold waters in the valley, which Konsta captured brilliantly below:

After the hike, everyone headed off to the Clachaig Inn for some hot chocolates and warmth to discuss future plans together. We then went our seperate ways, some home and some heading on another hike, this time up a scree slope from the Aonoch Eagach ridge, into the fog and the belly of the mountain.

The next day, a few of the team headed to Kinlochleven, to enjoy the quick walk above the village to the view of the loch and the Pap of Glencoe. In between the showers and the buffeting winds, the stretch of the legs was worth it for the view!

On the way back home to Glasgow, there was just enough time to venture into James Bond territory at Glen Etive to see the local deer and again marvel at the Scottish nature. Filming was taking place for an unknown medieval show in the valley, re-emphasising how attractive our landscapes are for Hollywood blockbusters and for backdrops of local shows.
