We had been craving a journey in the Scottish highlands for a while and the opportunity came one weekend in August 2016 with an exciting group of creatives.

Stuart, Johnny and Ali, members of the Highland Collective, joined Janis to the Torridon and Assynt area for a weekend of camping.

The weather forecast looked promising as the crew drove north from the central belt to the Ullapool region. Having set up campsite on the edge of Loch Bad a’ Ghaill after visiting Plodda Falls, we started to make our way to Stac Pollaidh for our sunset climb. Reaching the summit of the 612m mountain with the red glow off the adjacent peaks, with a 360 degree panoramic view of lochs, hills and the coastline, was definitely a magical moment.

Having reached the bottom in near darkness, burgers on the barbecue and a fire with the stars above was all that was needed to warm our spirits and top off an unforgettable weekend. The pictures from the trip can be found on the Instagram feeds of the guys mentioned above, go check out what we got up to!
